Gayetri Maharaj Joshi is a popular Bollywood Singer from Mumbai, currently based in Singapore. From her young age, she learned the basics in Hindustani classical in the city of Kolkata. The gifted singer later learned music at the Visharad levels and completed with the first rank from the Prayag Sangeet Samiti University, Allahabad. She was chosen under the aegis of the ITC Sangeet Research Academy, Kolkata and was trained by Ustaad Shri Jainul Abedin in The Agra Gharana.
Starting out early at school, she went on to win accolades at every annual event. For her, growing up meant being surrounded with sound influences of the times. Lata Mangeshkar & Asha Bhosle were some of her earliest influencers. At different stages, Gayetri took to singing with different Groups and Bands. Gayetri’s charisma started working with the music enthusiasts. She shared the stage with many celebrities like Javed Ali, Shafqat Amanat Ali, KK, Late Shri Ravindra Jain, Anuradha Paudwal, and Rahul Vaidya to name a few. Soon she earned good name in the Music Fraternity of Kolkata and Mumbai.
A winner of ZEE TV’s Sansui Antakshari 2005 National Challenge (Mumbai) and Singtel Mio Masti Showcase 2013 (Singapore).
Gayetri's forte is Old Bollywood Melodies in different singer’s voices, from Shamshad Begum, Uma Devi, Suraiya, Geeta Dutt, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle to Sunidhi Chauhan, Shreya Ghoshal. She has also given numerous Bhajan programmes, different festive folk songs of India, Garba and Navratri programmes and is known for her vibrant and crowd pulling live performances. She genuinely feels that there is a lot of interactive energy that flows when the audience reacts to her music and singing. She has performed in more than 300 shows worldwide. In 2016, she released her Bhajan Album in India in collaboration with Astha Channel (India).
